Tottenham Hotspur have agreed a deal with FC Twente for the transfer of Nacer Chadli.
The 23-year old Belgian will join Spurs in a deal reportedly worth €6.5m plus add-ons, according to Dutch football magazine Voetbal International.
According to Voetbal International, FC Twente received more lucrative bids from Shakhtar Donetsk, Swansea City and Torpedo Moscow for Chadli. However, the player was adamant he wanted to join Tottenham Hotspur.
Chadli, who usually plays as a left winger, will add further depth to AVB’s attacking options. The Belgian international scored 10 goals in 22 Eredivisie appearances for FC Twente last season.
Chadli joined FC Twente from AGOVV Apeldoorn in July 2010. He has made 123 appearances for de Tukkers, scoring 40 goals. In 2011 he won the Johan Cruijff Schaal (Dutch super cup) and the KNVB beker (Dutch equivalent of the FA Cup).
Chadli will be the third Belgian international in the Tottenham squad along with Mousa Dembélé and Jan Vertonghen.
