Tottenham have completed the signings of Ben Davies and Michel Vorm.
The two former Swansea players have joined the club for an undisclosed fee. Davies has signed a five-year deal whilst Michel Vorm has signed up for four years at White Hart Lane.
Welsh left-back Davies ended a 13-year stay at Swansea. It’s an emotional farewell, he told Swansea’s official website:
“I had never thought or wanted to leave Swansea, but an opportunity like this doesn’t come up often in your career. I will always be grateful for what Swansea City has done for me and it will always be the club in my heart. Having been at the club since the age of eight, I had to think long and hard about leaving because I owe everything to the staff and the club in general.”
Shortly after the official announcement Davies expressed his excitement about joining Spurs via Twitter:
Delighted to be joining @SpursOfficial looking forward to getting started and to a successful season!

Davies has made 85 appearances for Swansea, scoring 3 goals and providing 3 assists. He made his big break in the 2012/13 season after team-mate Neil Taylor suffered a serious injury, giving opportunity for Davies to step up at left-back. He went on to make 44 appearances that season, was named Swansea’s Young Player of the Year and helped the Swans lift the Capital One Cup.
Michel Vorm joined Swansea in August 2011 from Eredivisie side FC Utrecht. Vorm impressed during his debut season by keeping 13 clean sheets in 37 league appearances. At the end of the 2011/12 season he was awarded the club’s Supporters’ Player of the Year and Players’ Player of the Year Award.
Vorm has made 97 appearances for Swansea City, in which he kept a clean sheet 31 times. He has been capped 15 times by the Dutch national team.
