Tom Carroll and Benoît Assou-Ekotto have joined Queens Park Rangers on season-long loans.
Carroll and Assou-Ekotto will be reunited with former Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp at QPR.
Last season Redknapp brought in another Spurs youngster on loan, Andros Townsend, who put in some excellent performances for QPR but couldn’t help the west London team avoid relegation.
Carroll (21) is one of the highest rated talents to come out of the Tottenham Academy in recent years. He has been capped by England at Under-19 and Under-21 level.
Carroll has made 22 first team appearances so far for Spurs. He recently featured in the both legs of Spurs’ Europa League play-off against Dinamo Tbilisi. He made an excellent impression, especially in the home leg, moving the ball around swiftly and with attacking intent, showing great technical skills and vision.
Assou-Ekotto has become surplus to requirements after failing to establish himself in AVB’s plans. He only made 15 appearances for Spurs in all competitions last season.
The Cameroon international joined Tottenham in 2006 from RC Lens in an estimated £3.5m deal. He has made 205 appearances for Spurs in his 7 seasons at the club.
