Tom Huddlestone will go out on loan to Stoke City, subject to a medical.
Stoke City player Jermaine Pennant broke the news via Twitter, saying he was surprised to see Huddlestone when he arrived at Stoke City’s Clayton Wood training ground on Wednesday.
The Potters have confirmed that the 25-year old midfielder is currently at the club’s training ground to undergo a medical.
Last season Huddlestone only made 4 appearances for Spurs. In August 2011 he sustained an ankle injury which ruled him out for the rest of the season. Huddlestone had to go under the knife twice to reconstruct a lateral ankle ligament.
Huddlestone returned to action for the first time since his injury during a pre-season friendly at Stevenage on July 18th. He also featured during Spurs’ pre-season games against LA Galaxy, Liverpool, New York Red Bulls and Watford.
Although Pennant claims Huddlestone will join Stoke on a season-long loan, the exact details of the loan deal are still unconfirmed.
