Christian Eriksen has put pen to paper to join Tottenham Hotspur.
The Danish international joins Spurs from Eredivisie champions Ajax. He signed a five-year deal at Spurs after completing his medical earlier today.
As reported by Total Tottenham yesterday, Spurs will pay Ajax €12 million for Eriksen. The total fee could rise up to €13.5 million based on performance-related bonuses.
Eriksen is known for his creativity and excellent technique. He can play in numerous creative and attacking midfield positions. He has was one of the pillars of the current Ajax team, which claimed the Eredivisie title for the third consecutive time last season.
Eriksen has made 163 appearances for Ajax, scoring 32 goals and providing 66 assists. He made his debut for Ajax in 2010 under former Spurs manager Martin Jol.
The 21-year old midfielder has been capped 36 times by Denmark, scoring 4 goals and providing 5 assists.
Eriksen will be reunited with former Ajax team-mate Jan Vertonghen, who joined Tottenham last season.
