Steven Caulker has completed a move to Cardiff City.

Caulker will join Cardiff in an £8 million deal, a club record for the Bluebirds. The 21-year old defender will sign a 4-year contract at the Welsh club.

Caulker has played 29 matches for Tottenham’s first team, scoring 2 goals. He joined the first team after a highly successful season-long loan at Swansea City.

Caulker is a product of the Tottenham Hotspur academy. He joined the academy in 2007 at the age of 15 from non-league side Hounslow Borough. In 2009 he was awarded his first professional contract. He went on loan to Yeovil Town and Bristol City before joining then newly-promoted Swansea City in the Premier League in 2011.

The defender has been capped at both U19 and U21 level by England. Caulker made his full England debut against Sweden in November 2012. He scored England’s second goal in a 4-2 loss.
