Spurs’ 2012-13 season squad numbers revealed

Tottenham Hotspur 2012-13 squad numbers
Tottenham Hotspur have revealed the squad numbers for the 2012-13 season.

Today the numbers appeared in the club’s web shop as personalisation options for the new 2012-13 kits by Under Armour.

Most notable change is Gareth Bale’s switch from #3 to #11. Rafael van der Vaart played in the #11 shirt the last 2 seasons. From now on he will wear (the more appropriate) #10 shirt.

The #9 shirt is still up for grabs. Quite obvious as Spurs are still in the market for a striker.

So far the legendary #26 shirt worn by Ledley King also remains vacant. There’s been a strong call among supporters to retire the #26 shirt for life as a tribute to the recently retired Spurs centre-back.

This list is pretty definite, although some numbers could become available due to outgoing transfer activity.
