Jermain Defoe has signed a new three-year contract at Spurs which will see him at the club until 2015.
The England international broke the news via Twitter:

Reading, Aston Villa and QPR all have been linked with a Summer move for the 29-year old striker. After signing a new contract it seems unlikely that the striker will leave North London during the current transfer window.
Defoe re-joined Spurs in January 2009 after spending a season and a half at Portsmouth. At Pompey Defoe formed a successful attacking partnership with Peter Crouch. The two were reunited when Crouch joined Spurs 6 months later in July 2009.
Defoe scored 55 goals in 123 appearances since his return to Tottenham Hotspur. He made his 300th first team appearance against West Brom during the weekend. Defoe currently ranks 10th in Spurs’ all-time goalscoring chart with 119 goals.
