Louis van Gaal has responded to the rumours liking him to the Tottenham job.
Louis van Gaal has responded to the rumours linking him with the Spurs job. When confronted by a reporter of the NOS:
“I have said I would like to work in the Premier League. So it’s a real possibility.
“There’s a time when it will be made public, and there’s a time which is needed to prepare things, sort things out. There’s no place to talk to the media at that point.”
Van Gaal ruled out the possibility of combining the Spurs job with coaching the Dutch national team.
“Anyone who knows me, knows I won’t do that,” said Van Gaal.
“This [combining the Spurs job with coaching Holland] is definitely not the case.”
It is also being reported that Daniel Levy watched his club’s match against Southampton from the comfort of the couch in Louis van Gaal’s home. However, Van Gaal denied these reports.
According to the NOS, the Tottenham chairman had travelled to Noordwijk, where Van Gaal resides, to personally negotiate the possible appointment of Van Gaal as Tottenham’s new head coach.
